What is Accessibility?
Simply put, accessibility means access to all. Access to a building, access to a customer service desk, access to the internet, access to course materials, access to public transportation, and much more. As an institution, we need to be aware of how accessible our campus, courses, and support services are. Much of how people typically think of and refer to persons with disabilities is learned behavior. To improve how accessible we are as an institution and as individuals start with awareness. Once aware, improvements can begin, which will lead to a more inclusive college community for students, faculty, and staff.
